In 2015 Mothers First transitioned from Treating children with severe malnutrition to preventing it. This approach changed after reading this Series.

In the most simply of terns it provided the evedence base that targeting Mothers who were under nourished and pregnant with food based interventions would significant reduce low birth weight.

Increased birth weight would have life positive long Health, nutrition and learning outcomes.
