Mothers First In Congo
Mothers First is delighted to announce our collaboration with Urambo Women Development in the Congo.
In March 2026, Mothers First brought our targeted nutrition program for malnourished pregnant mothers to the Congo.
How the Program Began
What began as a fortuitous meeting at the Food Systems Summit in Ethiopia in July 2025 quickly grew into meaningful action.
Just seven months later, Mothers First and the Urembo Women Development Organisation launched the Mothers First Programme in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, improving maternal nutrition and supporting healthier pregnancies.
